One of the most peaceful and underrated countries in South East Asia.
Slow travel, jungle-covered mountains, waterfall swims and deeply rooted culture. Laos is perfect for travellers who want scenic landscapes, authentic experiences and a break from the fast pace of its neighbours - without spending much to do it.

is Laos worth visiting?
Laos is worth visiting if you want scenery, space and a break from the chaos of Southeast Asia’s busier routes.
You’ve got golden temples and waterfalls in Luang Prabang, dramatic mountain views in Nong Khiaw, and quiet river life down in Si Phan Don.
It’s affordable, uncrowded compared to Thailand or Vietnam, and feels genuinely peaceful.
If you want misty mountains, riverside sunsets, and a country that forces you to slow down - it’s absolutely worth it.
Local Cuisine
-
Laap (Larb) - Minced meat mixed with lime, chilli, mint and toasted rice powder. Fresh, spicy, herby — this is Laos’ signature dish.
-
Sticky Rice (Khao Niew) - The backbone of every meal. Served in bamboo baskets and eaten by hand. You’ll have it with almost everything.
-
Tam Mak Hoong - Laos-style papaya salad
